Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar - Newport Beach

For my three years anniversary with my boyfriend we decided to give Fleming's a try, after much debate about which steakhouse we should give his money too. =) [yelp had better reviews on fleming's than the other steakhouses]

Well... if you don't know us by now.. whenever we see carpaccio on the menu, it's a must & so we did!!


& as always... it's AMAZING! my boyfriend thinks it's better here than Tuscany.. but it really is because of the bread. you just put a slice (or two) of meat and a little salad on top of the piece of bread.. and it is just delicious. it really is! that's why it's better than Tuscany's carpaccio. but the meat tastes the same.

We also ordered another appetizer (yes i love appetizers!)


Ahi Tuna.. yums~! The mustard sauce gives it the punch, but don't put tooo much otherwise you'll burn your nose. it's REALLY strong. Efren didn't realize how strong it would be and he dipped one piece into the sauce and he basically had tears in his eyes.. haha! if we had to judge which appetizer was better.. we'd say the carpaccio. The Ahi Tuna is good but you can get ahi tuna that tastes about the same for much much less at other fish restaurants, so in our book-- good but you can get about the same at other places for less. =]

And then we also ordered another appetizer...

JK! hahah... we actually ordered food food. we both got the filet mignon, medium rare.


It looks tiny right? When we first got it.. we thought.. omg this will be a piece of cake to eat. Well we couldn't finish it.. I believe we both only ate half of our piece. OMG! maybe it's because we ate two appetizers before.. that's why we couldn't finish it. yahh.. that's it. =P Anyways... filet mignon.. around $40. yups... expensive. It was good but it's not worth $40. IMO. =]

Even though we could not finish our steak... I had to order dessert anyways! =D


Creme brulee... SO GOOOOOD! especially that Creme Fraiche.. it was SO DELICIOUS! efren seriously just ate that all... by itself. haha it was just so good. yom yom yomms!

The bill... was about $150. thanks efren for the anniversary dinner.. it was most wonderful! ^__^ v
