BLT Steak - West Hollywood

So I decided I'll update even if I don't have pictures otherwise this blog will end up never being updated.
Maricor & I came to BLT Steak for dineLA. Their complimentary chicken pate and popovers were good. The pate had a strong liver taste or maybe I just slabbed on too much onto of the toast but it was decent. Popovers, definitely tasted better with the seasalt. It makes a huge difference!! =D

The hostesses, waiters were all super nice. I came late by 15 minutes and Maricor was there 15 minutes earlier than our said time. Maricor said she didn't want to be seated early so she ended up talking to the hostesses for 30 minutes. I called Maricor a couple times but she didn't pick up (her phone died) and so the hostesses let her use their phone to call her mom, to call our friend, to get my number.. but I ended up showing up before she got my number. We were sitting down at the table already and one of the hostess comes to our table, "You have a phone call, it's your mom" and I looked at Maricor thinking.. what the heck? Why is your mom calling the restaurant!? Well anyways, really excellent service. Love them!

But back to the food. Maricor ordered the mussels and I ordered the filet tartar. Mussels were good but they were on the small side, thankfully they give you a lot. Filet tartar was really good. I ended up eating all the bread before finishing the tartar so I ended up eating the tartar on its own, yummay! =D

Maricor had scallops and I had the 8oz petit filet mignon (medium rare, only way to have steak!). Both were delicious! I wonder why they always only give you 3 scallops? Seems so little. No worries, Maricor had like half my steak and pretty much all the asparagus. We ended up being full already before the desserts came. *rubs belly* =P
Dessert: donut with expresso ice cream and chocolate bread pudding. I know I ordered the bread pudding hoping it would be as great as bread pudding at Cafe Was but it was not. =( I was a bit disappointed. The bread pudding also had caramelized bananas on the side... gross. Gross because I HATE bananas but Maricor said it was DELICIOUS. She even made me eat a little piece even though I resisted. She said it didn't taste like bananas and I trusted her but SHE LIED!!

Anyways, the donut was FRESH and so warm. The expresso ice cream really completed the dessert. It was so sad. It might've even been the star in the dessert.

Overall, it was a great dining experience! 3 courses-- $44/each person. We ended up paying $56 each. ^__^
